Acupuncture may be effective in reaching all layers of a muscle

Treatments for musculoskeletal complications generally involve massage and pins (acupuncture) on both sides of the body, with treatments ranging in length from 50 minutes to 70 minutes. Massage is an effective way to treat a muscular condition superficially; however acupuncture can penetrate deeper into the body resulting in long term relief. Combining both modalities as we do at Shen Therapies is even more effective.

Massage versus Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal complications:

Acupuncture is a method of treatment that can reach small, deep, knotted muscles that cause stubborn pain and injury. At times we also use Electro Stimulation (TENS) which is hooked to the acupuncture pins to further enhance deep muscle tissue release.

We are also extremely fortunate to be able to offer Biomesotherapy, which only a handful of clinics offer around Australia. Patients who have suffered extensive pain for many years and have tried many other treatment modalities without success have been known to feel relief immediately after receiving Biomesotherapy.
